Dibentuk oleh kelima orang membernya. The GazettE merupakan salah satu dari band-band terkenal di label PS Company, tempat bernaung band-band lain seperti Kagrra dan alice nine. Meski musik rock yang menjadi jiwa dari band ini, mereka tidak takut untuk bereksperimen dengan musik mereka dan musik mereka luas tidak ada batasan dari soft ballad hingga punk rock bahkan beberapa lagunya terdapat unsur hip-hop. The GazettE adalah sebuah band visual, dimana penampilan mereka bervariasi dari single ke single dan album ke album, tetapi musik mereka selalu mencerminkan ‘Gazette’ dan rock.
